Big changes

Not two weeks ago, my husband was very suddenly and unexpectedly retrenched from his work. This of course came as a major shock to us as a family. These last few days have been spent sorting out all sorts of things while trying to make sense of it all....even when it doesn't make sense.
The only thing that does make sense right now is that God is faithful God who cares about us and all we have to go on is His word that promises He will never leave us nor forsake us. We can look back at our lives and we know that He has always made a way for us when there has seemed to be no other way.
Not that long ago we moved back to Cape Town after a time in East Africa, with three small children, no work, no home and not much money at all. We had no furniture either and no car. We have seen His faithfulness and that is all we can rely on now. God is not a man that He should lie.
The children have taken things in their stride and are coping well despite the older two not being well this week. I have my moments...and hubby is being proactive and is putting feelers out in all directions. We are expecting good from this situation.
We have been lovingly supported by friends and family who have invited us for dinner, checked in on us daily , encouraged us and are praying for us. It is a real blessing to have people around who care.
